American special ops agent Dan David lands in
the midst of anti-communist uprising catching up with the last standing Eastern
European dictatorship after the fall of the wall of Berlin. Everybody thinks
his unspoken challenge is to terminate the dictator secretary general of
the party and his wife and speed up the change, a task that most of the nomenklatura
wants accomplished but is unwilling to carry out, with the subtle backing
of the omnipresent Soviets, and under the watchful eye of the United States
Embassy.
The real maze of treason, interests and treachery happens behind the closed
doors in an internal fight to oust the dreaded dictator and seize the power.
Dan, aided by his former brothers in arms of the secret police from which
he defected decades ago, will carry out the unthinkable: save the dictators
from the wrath of conspirators that want them dead and impart them to stand
trial and be judged by the people they oppressed.
